08:00 am Depart from Salem Airport with your comfortable motorcaoch. We will have many stops en route.
12:30 pm Lunch en route included.
04:30 pm Arrive at your hotel the Silver Reef Hotel Casino for the first night of our journey, (NB. This will be also our hotel back from cruising on our last night.)

Set 3.8 miles from the Lummi Bay shore, this upscale hotel is 4.6 miles from the Ferndale Event Center and 4.7 miles from Hovander Homestead Park. Rooms and suites feature a warm, earthy color palette accented with rich wood and contemporary furnishings.

DAY 2 Boarding San Juan Isalands Cruise/Lunch on Board/Time to Explore Rosario

10:00 am - Cast off
After clearing Bellingham Bay we will work our way South to explore the Southern end of the San Juan Archipelago. We’ll cruise past the historic Burrows Island lighthouse, as well as points of interest with names like Iceberg Point, Deadman’s Island and Cattle Pass. Today you’ll have plenty of time to search for San Juan Islands resident orca whales, humpback and minke whales, seals, porpoise as well as a wide variety of sea birds.
About noon a hearty homemade lunch will be served on board.
3:00 pm – Arrive Rosario Resort - Time to
You and your luggage will be transferred to your guest rooms. Rosario Resort’s guest rooms are surrounded by the natural beauty of the San Juan Islands with views of magnificent East Sound and Cascade Bay on Orcas Island. The guest rooms are a short walk from the Moran Mansion. Built between 1906-1909 by Seattle shipbuilder and mayor Robert Moran, the mansion features photographs from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, original furnishings and fixtures, and an extensive display of the ships built by the Moran Brothers Company in Seattle.
4:00 pm – Organ Concert and Rosario History Narrative
Christopher Peacock, accomplished musician, author and Rosario historian, offers a presentation of music and photography that walks guests through the history of the Moran family and the Rosario estate. Highlights of the presentation include the historic Moran Photograph Collection, Phantom of the Opera music played on the Mansion’s 1,972 pipe Aeolian organ with silent film, stories of the Mansion’s most colorful residents, and Christopher’s original piano compositions played on the 1900 Steinway Grand Piano. Orcas Island’s finest dining experience will be yours at Rosario.
5:30 pm - Dinner at the Mansion Restaurant.

DAY 3 Cruise to Friday Harbor / Whale and Wildlife Search / Lunch on Board)
8:30 am – Board the Chinook
Start the morning off with a hot cup of locally roasted coffee or tea upon boarding. You’ll be served a hot breakfast as we make our way west through Harney Channel to our first stop of the day Friday Harbor. This delightful small town is filled with interesting shops, artist galleries, pubs, and home to the only museum devoted to Orca whales. 12:30 pm – Whale and Wildlife Search / Signature Cracked Crab Lunch on Board
About noon get ready for a San Juan Cruises tradition, you'll enjoy our famous Old Fashioned Cracked Crab lunch. Feast on the Northwest's finest Dungeness Crab served with Baked Chicken, our signature Broccoli Salad, Old Fashioned Potato Salad, Locally Baked French Bread and dessert. While your enjoying lunch we go in search of Orca Whales, Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals, Harbor Porpoise, sea birds and other magnificent wildlife. Viewed in their natural environment these magnificent animals are always a treat to behold!
5:00 pm – Arrival Back at Rosario
Tonight enjoy an another unforgettable meal on your own at the historic Mansion Restaurant. If you prefer lighter fare the Moran Lounge located in the original living room of the Moran Mansion. The Moran Lounge offers fireside cocktails in an historic setting and a delicious bar menu served daily from noon - 9 p.m. (Breakfast, Lunch)
DAY 4 (Northern San Juan Islands Cruise and Whale Watching / Sucia Island Nature Walk & Picnic / Return To Bellingham)
7:30 am – Luggage Transfer
Place your luggage outside your motel room door and it will be transported to and loaded aboard the Chinook.
8:00 am – Shuttle / Breakfast On Board / Northern San Juan Islands Cruise
Board the shuttle van or enjoy a morning stroll down to the dock while your luggage is being transferred to the boat. You’ll start your day today with coffee/tea and a tasty breakfast on board as we steer for the top of the San Juan archipelago, always on the lookout for wildlife along the way.
11:30 am – Sucia Island Beach Stroll and Picnic
Up north at the very top of the archipelago lies a unique, horseshoe shaped destination called Sucia Island State Park. The reefs and broken shorelines of the island are from a geologic folding of the Earth’s crust, which has brought many interesting marine fossils to the surface. Some good examples can be found on the southeast arm of Sucia Island at Fossil Bay. Upon arrival on Sucia you’ll be treated to a freshly-prepared picnic on the beach. After lunch take a short hike through the forest or along the shoreline and enjoy this opportunity to stretch your legs among some of the most stunning shorelines and views the Northwest has to offer. After our unforgettable shore visit on Sucia we’ll board the Chinook to continue on your final leg of our voyage, taking us through channels and past islands not yet explored.
4:00 pm – Arrive back in Bellingham.
Our motorcoach will be waiting for us and will take us back to the Silver Reef Hotel Casino for our last night in the state of Washington. Enjoy a restfull evening. Lodging in Bellingham. Our motorcoach will be waiting for us and will bring us back home safe and with comfort.
