A Southern Oregon Coast Holiday Favorite

Featuring Shore Acres Fairyland

Christmas Lights

3 Days / 2 Nights

December 12 to 14,  2016

A community tradition was born in 1987 when friends of Shore Acres, Inc decided to “string a few lights” to help celebrate the Holidays.  The first season 6000 miniature lights, one large Christmas treecand the decorated and open Garden House drew 9,000 visitors.  Now at least 325,000 LED lights  and landscape - thirty Christmas trees, dozens of lighted sculptures, performance pavilion and the festive open house attract - on average - from 40,000 to 50,000 visitors each season.  Inside the Garden House, long scrolls of names pay tribute to the business supporters, members and the more than 1,500 volunteers who make it happen every year for all to enjoy.
Hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights adorn a unique array of flowers, evergreen shrubs and trees, including the largest Monterey pine in Oregon.  Shore Acres was once the private estate of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder, Louis B. Simpson.  Simpson brought flowering plants from around the world to fill five acres of gardens including a Japanese style garden built around a lovely lily pond.

You will travel in great comfort to your destination, with a lot room in a great motorcoach.  All the facilities that you need when you travel.  Just relax and enjoy the Oregon Coastal Scenery.  We are taking care of everything for you.

Beaumont, originally from North Dakota, started the business as a way to support his family after the box company where he worked closed down.

Wildlife Safari began as the vision and dream of one man- Frank Hart. It was his goal to create a facility in the Pacific Northwest that would help save rare and endangered species from around the world. Over 38 years later, Wildlife Safari has grown into an AZA-accredited non-profit wildlife park dedicated to education, conservation and research.
Wildlife Safari opened in 1972 and is the only drive-through wild animal park in Oregon.
